Customizer
My name is Austin Torma, but most know me as JAR Customs. I’ve been servin’ up in the game since 2016 and haven’t looked back since. I’ve completed over 1,000 pairs of sneakers, each crafted with passion and precision. Art has been a huge part of my life since childhood, and I always knew I wanted it in my career. After taking my first business class, I learned how to grow both myself and my brand, taking things to a new level. Since then, I’ve worked with countless clients and major names, constantly pushing my creativity. I love inspiring new artists and sharing the value of what I do with the world!
Artist
I’ve been drawing since I was six, and art has always captivated me. If it wasn’t art, it was football. I once dreamed of becoming a footballer but chose to study law instead. Today, I’m a lawyer who customises sneakers out of pure passion. As a child, I dreamed of creating my own clothing line and becoming a designer. I’m still a dreamer who believes the only limit is imagination and that with God’s help, anything is possible. Born in Paris and raised in Luxembourg, Benin, and Lyon, I later moved to Mâcon after earning my law degree. For years, I set art aside, but after a difficult period, I began drawing again. One day, I sketched on a sneaker, not realising it would reignite my creativity and lead to my own custom art business.
I am Javier Carabias, a Spanish artist who has been customising sneakers since 2019. I believe my style is quite unique because I love transforming sneakers into characters. I’m passionate about anime and comic designs, having grown up in the 90s and always admired the style and characters of that era. For me, the most important part of a custom piece is the design, and I always strive to make it the best it can be. I first started painting shoes to repair some of my own sneakers, but once I realised how amazing it felt, I couldn’t stop.
My name is Anya, and I’m a custom shoe artist who’s been creating for almost five years — but I’ve been an artist my entire life. What started as a way to bring happiness to others has grown into a deeper purpose: using art to inspire, teach, and break creative limits. I’m inspired by realism, originality, and my faith. I love creating pieces that tell stories and push boundaries — designs that haven’t been seen before. I strive to show that art can be both beautiful and meaningful, and that with creativity, there are no limits. My process is unique because every design starts with intention. I focus on emotion, detail, and message — I want each pair I create to connect with people on a personal level. I’m passionate about inspiring others, thinking outside the box, and challenging myself to do what seems impossible. Art, for me, is more than a skill, it’s purpose.
You don’t just get the name JIGGA for no reason — where I’m from, they call me the Jay-Z of art, and my work lives up to it. I’m from the Bronx, and you can see it in my style — gritty, retro, and bold. I’m 37 now, married with four kids, and I’ve been in the game for 16 years, so I guess I’m like the “unc” of this art thing now — and I embrace it. Basketball was my first love, so I’m a natural competitor. I love being challenged and pushed to my limits — that’s when I create my best work.
My name is Arthur, but most know me as Art. Born in Cleveland, Mississippi, I’ve always been drawn to creativity—painting, doodling, performing, anything artistic. I began painting shoes in 2003 with whatever I could find—nail polish, Sharpies, highlighters, even glitter pens—and wore each piece proudly. After stepping back to focus on family, I reignited my passion in 2019 by founding Art By Art, a brand built on creativity and authenticity. I now create custom sneakers, wooden art, and canvas pieces that fill homes and galleries. In 2022, I added 3D modeling to my craft. Today, I’m a sneaker artist, toy designer, and author—creating art that sparks emotion and tells stories.
David “DEZ” Zambrano was born in 1976 in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Northern Virginia near Washington, DC. His passion for art began after watching Beat Street and seeing graffiti along the Red Line while visiting his father. A self-taught artist, DEZ draws from life experiences, with graffiti deeply influencing his style. Known for his versatility, he works across mixed media—canvas, walls, cars, motorcycles, and fabric. His custom footwear gained wide recognition, but his true love remains the canvas. DEZ believes every piece reflects his passion, pain, and life, created not for trends but from the soul.
From a young age, I was obsessed with creating. As a kid, I spent hours watching football and sketching boot designs and kits for real and imaginary teams. It was never just about the game but about the stories, pride, and sense of belonging behind it. That fascination with football culture became the foundation of how I see and create today. My work blends art, fashion, and storytelling, exploring where sport meets creativity and community. Whether painting on a discarded plastic bag or customising trainers, I aim to show how memory and emotion can be worn and how the ordinary can become personal. Every piece is hand-painted with patience and care, merging fine art techniques with streetwear sensibilities. Each creation is a love letter to community and a reminder that creativity lives not only in galleries but also on your feet, in your local, and in the stands.
British pop artist Boyarde Messenger is known for transforming luxury into wearable art. Dubbed “the Queen of Painting on Birkins,” she pioneered the modern Wearable Art movement, where fine art meets fashion. Her journey began in Belize, painting local women and exploring themes of identity, confidence, and the female gaze. In 2011, she hand-painted 100 pairs of Charlotte Olympia heels for Art Basel Miami, launching her global career. Since then, she’s collaborated with Harrods, Liberty, Nike, and Chelsea Women’s FC. Whether it’s a Birkin or a sneaker, Boyarde’s art is bold, witty, and unapologetic, blending storytelling, pop culture, and attitude into every piece.
I’ve always loved creating – starting from doodles on notebooks, walls, and even sneakers. What began as a hobby grew into a passion for turning ideas into something tangible. That curiosity led me to shoemaking, where I could choose materials like leather, suede, and fabric to bring my visions to life. This evolved into GÜMBOY, a bespoke footwear brand inspired by childhood nostalgia. Each design tells a story, such as the Catbus sneakers with embroidered details and playful tones, or the Magikarp Sambas featuring layered blue fabrics that mimic waves and sashiko stitching. Through my work, I want to remind people to reconnect with their inner child, stay creative, and embrace a sense of wonder in everyday life.
Digital Artist
I’m a semi-pro footballer turned footwear artist, blending the game I love with bold design. What started in lockdown with an iPad and a passion for creativity has grown into viral moments, global collaborations, and opportunities I once could only dream about. Now after gathering a large following designing concept footwear on my iPad. I decided it was time to take the next leap in my creative journey. Bringing my designs to life! Though I’m relatively new to the art of creating custom footwear, my openness to learning from my mistakes has gathered the eyes and support of many amazing people eager to help. Also leading me to ultimately create some pieces I’m truly proud of. I see this as yet another opportunity to challenge myself and document the journey!
Howdy! I’m Karl from Starline Customs. I specialise in painting portraits that blend abstract art with realism. I’ve loved drawing since I could hold a pen – starting from doodles in detention to painting shoes for Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Manchester United players. As a teen inspired by Banksy, my creativity sometimes got me into trouble. In college, a teacher named Gary gave me advice that stuck: “Life’s like driving a car – you need to look ahead or you’ll crash.” After failing college and working as a roofer, I realised how much I missed art. I began sharing drawings online, which led to commissions and the birth of my small art business. When I posted a pair of doodled shoes, my first custom commission followed, sparking the journey that became Starline Customs – because it truly felt like the stars had aligned.
Lili Cantero is a Paraguayan artist based in Miami whose work bridges sport, art, and storytelling. She transforms soccer balls, cleats, jerseys, and gloves into canvases that celebrate those who dare to dream and change the game. Her journey began with a brush and a vision: to turn the language of sport into one of hope and transformation. Her art has reached global stages, featured by FIFA, UEFA, FIBA, US Soccer, and Heineken. Each piece reflects her belief that sport is culture—a universal force that unites through emotion and story. In her project League of Changers, she honours athletes and dreamers whose impact goes beyond victory. Her vibrant colours and symbols invite us to play with intention and see creativity as a choice that can change the game.
As a visual artist, photographer, and custom sneaker designer, my creations are all about self-expression, individuality, and true creativity. As the founder of Bold Movers, I believe that streetwear is more than just fashion — it’s an authentic cultural language through which we can tell stories and connect more deeply with ourselves. My work moves between art and everyday life — I create hand-painted sneakers, clothing, and accessories, and I also hold workshops where anyone can experience how a canvas or a shoe can become a personal message. For me, the core idea behind the Bold Movers mentality is that every unique piece has a longer life and greater value when it carries personal meaning — making fashion and art not just a form of self-expression, but a more mindful way of living. The goal of Bold Movers has always been the same: to build community, inspire others and create space for everyone to show their true colors. Be Bold. Be a Bold Mover.
My name is Axel, and through AXELAB I tell stories on sneakers. It started as a game — painting a pair for myself — until I realized I could turn leather into a living canvas. Each piece is born from an emotion, a memory, or an idea I can’t keep still. Today, my goal is to push Italian custom art beyond the idea of “design on shoes” , to make it a language that moves people, makes them think, and leaves a trace. I don’t just want to decorate. I want to create something that stays, something with a soul.
I’ve been connected to the world of art my whole life, and over the years that passion merged with another one of mine: sneakers. That’s how my journey as a custom artist began, creating unique designs and working with brands like Red Bull, Prime Video, MSI, Paramount, Nocilla and many more. Beyond customizing sneakers, I also create complementary pieces such as accessories and elements that accompany them, and I design fully personalized boxes to make each project more professional, visually striking, and complete.
From an early age, I was captivated by people and the stories hidden in their expressions. My family’s work with the homeless showed me how much emotion you can read in a face, every wrinkle telling a story. Inspired by Lee Jeffries’ black-and-white portraits, I began drawing to reveal those stories, not just likeness. In 2022, I founded Sole Statement to merge portraiture with sneakers, turning footwear into canvases of human connection. Painting in quiet university corners soon grew into a mission to share my art more widely. My intricate monochrome portraits on sneakers reflect my journey, blending fine art with streetwear to create pieces that are both personal and powerful.
I’ve always had a creative spirit. Though I\’ve always enjoyed art, I shifted paths studying multimedia and graphic design, then stepping away to help run my family’s sushi business. Sushi taught me the beauty of precision and presentation, and in a way, kept my creative spark alive. Now, I’m channeling that passion back into art—this time on shoes. Each pair I design is a unique blend of style, craftsmanship, and personal expression. At Customs EightySix, every pair is a blend of craftsmanship, style, and personal flair.
I’m a sneaker customizer from Italy. This craft has finally allowed me to find the right channel to express my artistic needs. With Angelus acrylic paints, I can achieve an incredible level of detail, from ultra-opaque flat color blocks to soft, seamless gradients. I pay great attention to the quality of details and to the overall graphic composition. As a graphic designer, I love mixing, cutting, and composing digital images, and I bring that same attitude into my customs, blending elements and forms to create layered visual compositions. I love the custom process: for me, it’s a constant challenge. I’m always looking for new subjects and compositions that push my limits and help me grow with every piece.
I was born in Nikaia, Greece, in 1990, and from the moment I could hold a pencil, I was sketching on anything I could find. What began with comics, video games, and movie heroes grew into a passion for creating worlds of my own. After studying Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, I worked in the maritime industry, but my mind was always elsewhere—mixing colours and dreaming in shapes. In 2016, I founded Artdicted Handmade, where art meets everyday life. Today, sneakers are my main canvas—wearable art that blends bold colour, storytelling, and emotion. Each pair is one of a kind, merging engineering precision with the freedom of street art. For me, creation should always feel alive, expressive, and deeply personal.
Salut! I’m Guillaume, known as Guitho Custom, a French artist who works only in black and white. I’m 34 and from Rennes. Though I studied Environmental Engineering, my real passion has always been drawing. During my travels with my wife, I carried a sketchbook everywhere. In New Zealand, I met a custom artist who taught me the basics, and that’s where my journey began. Later, while living in Réunion Island, I started my sneaker customisation business in 2021. I was one of the first on the island, and it quickly took off. I love every step, from chatting with clients to creating designs and customising their shoes. My style focuses on fine black-and-white lines, using pens and even a tattoo machine for shading. Creating unique, wearable art that makes people smile is what drives me.
My love for embroidery started with my Nanna, who patiently taught me how to thread a needle and bring stories to life with stitches. My love for shoes started even earlier — I once got a light-up pair as a kid and refused to take them off, even to sleep. Years later, I combined those two lifelong loves and began embroidering shoes — turning something ordinary into something personal, wearable, and full of character. What started as a creative experiment quickly became a thriving business and a growing community where I now teach others how to customize and create with confidence. Every pair I make is stitched with love, creativity, and a little bit of that childhood magic that made me fall in love with shoes in the first place.
I’m Irene, known online as Irenblack, and I customize sneakers to connect with people. I create pieces that carry memories, emotions and personal stories. I’ve collaborated with brands like Puma, Foot Locker, Kaotiko, Crep Protect, and Bacardí (Ogilvy) and artists like Rels B, but what truly inspires me is seeing someone feel something from a piece made just for them. For me, art starts with a story.
Martín Redondo. Artist and graphic designer. From an early age, he developed a deep connection with drawing, which eventually became his way of life. His passion for sneakers—mainly 80s and 90s basketball models—goes far beyond fashion or sport: for Martín, they are cultural icons full of meaning. He is one of the pioneers in Spain in turning sneakers into canvases, transforming them into unique works of art that blend technique, history, and personal expression. His work combines creativity, precision, and a deep, unwavering love for art applied to design and to everyday objects with a soul of their own.
From the vibrant streets of Greece to sneaker lovers worldwide, I’m the artist and founder of Flakes.Customs, a creative brand where footwear becomes a moving canvas. What began as a passion for graffiti evolved into a global art label, transforming sneakers, jackets, and collectibles into one-of-one pieces of wearable art. Each project starts with a story, brought to life using Angelus paints, airbrush gradients, and detailed brushwork. My style fuses street energy with fashion precision, creating designs that turn heads and celebrate individuality. Flakes.Customs is about culture, creativity, and connection—a world where art meets lifestyle through bold, personal expression.
Maker
I’m Nicolas Cabanes-Gelly, a 31-year-old French designer passionate about footwear. I studied fashion in Paris, graduating top of my class and showcasing my work at London Graduate Fashion Week in 2020. Afterward, I began creating digital sneaker mashups, which gained attention on Instagram and led to collaborations with brands worldwide. One highlight was designing the MEMO-Z with Flowers for Society, presented at Paris Fashion Week, where I also directed the campaign. Alongside this, I craft premium hand-made custom sneakers, focusing on precision and detail. I see myself as a passionate designer and colourist, not just an artist. My next goal is to launch my own shoe brand and collaborate with creatives globally.
Well, what can I say about my story? My “adventure” in the world of customisation began in 2010, when I painted my first pair of sneakers. Since then, many wonderful things have happened, including taking part in a major exhibition in Paris featuring Jordan 1 models. It was truly an honour and a source of pride to share that space with so many talented artists. And now, I balance my passion with my day job as a greengrocer in a hypermarket.
I’m a sneaker designer and content creator from Germany, specialising in fine art techniques, airbrush, and visual storytelling. Art has always been part of my life. I started painting as a child and got my first commission at twelve. What began as curiosity became a passion for design and expression. After school, I turned that passion into my full-time career and built my own creative brand. My work blends craftsmanship and culture, turning sneakers into statement pieces. I also bring creative concepts to life online, connecting with millions. One highlight was customising sneakers for Ed Sheeran, a project that reached a global audience. Every project reflects my dedication to detail, originality, and purpose.
My name is Isidore, a visual artist from France. I discovered customization in 2018 and turned it into my profession, creating around basketball — shoes, balls, and baskets. What began by chance became my way to live my childhood dream. My work has appeared in the NBA and led to collaborations with Puma, Lamelo Ball, and Kyle Kuzma, among others. Coming from a rural background, I had to build everything from scratch, guided by my lifelong love for basketball. In 2023, I embraced my artistic identity and took my great-grandfather’s name, Isidore. Through colour, gradients, and form, I express my connection to hoop culture and aim to show that customization is a true art form — one that unites passion, people, and creativity.
I always loved drawing and painting as a kid, but football was my main passion. Painting wasn’t even on my mind until COVID, when my journey as a sneaker customiser began. I started with no experience, painting straight from the bottle and learning through mistakes. Over time, I grew and realised that creativity never stops evolving. I now draw inspiration from movies, anime, music, and other artists, specialising in comic and anime art. My goal isn’t to take the easy route but to keep challenging myself and improving with every project. Each custom piece is driven by passion and attention to detail, reflecting my commitment to growth and giving 100% every time.
Hi, I’m Jetch, an artist and musician from Salford, England. Art has been my passion since childhood, starting with drawing anime characters like Goku from Dragon Ball Z. Like Goku, I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery and growth. One highlight was in 2023, when CANVVS and MattBcustoms invited me to paint anime-inspired Demon Slayer boots for Usain Bolt at the Soccer Aid project—a moment I’ll never forget. My art often explores freedom, symbolised by birds in flight, and draws inspiration from sport and music. I paint on all kinds of surfaces, from shoes and jackets to golf clubs and walls. For me, art has no limits, and I’ll paint anything that helps share that belief.
My artistic journey began with a diploma in Decorative Painting, which gave me the foundation for my future career. After finishing my studies, I set aside my brushes to explore the digital world of colour. I became a comic colourist, first for Walt Disney and later for publishers like Dylan Dog, Blek, and Tex. Still, my passion for traditional painting never faded. A few years ago, I returned to painting, bringing my art to sneakers. Realism inspires me most. I’m meticulous with details but open to new ideas. My digital experience taught me precision and courage to experiment. For me, art is something you love – something that makes you feel alive.
While I was still only a teenager and had loved drawing since I was little, I (Better) discovered graffiti and took a liking to it. This is how I joined an art school in Paris for 4 years, where I learned to refine my brushstrokes and discovered my style. I created my Instagram account (91better), then launched myself as a self-entrepreneur to make a living from my passion. Inspiration Drawing my inspiration from the world of graffiti and the 90s, I mix techniques and supports to give life to works vibrant with energy. I paint on any kind of objects , Sneakers, Skateboard, vintage boombox, lamp, etc. All in a very colorful graffiti/pop art style. About posca I have been using Posca for over 15 years on all my creations. I love the ease of use, the effects and gradients that I can do with it. Can be used on all surfaces and goes very well with spray paint.
I’m Andi from Berlin, Germany. My artistic journey began in 1998 when I started painting graffiti at 12. Over the years, I developed my own style, starting with lettering before discovering airbrushing. Inspired by the early 2000s graffiti and airbrush hype from the USA, I began customising T-shirts, trucker hats, and more, selling my work on eBay while still in school. After graduating, I pursued art full time, working as a graffiti and airbrush artist on walls, clothing, and sneakers. I’ve since collaborated with brands, done live events, and created commissioned graffiti pieces. Since 2014, I’ve focused more on murals under my graffiti name “Cokyone.” Today, I run an online shop, combining graffiti, urban art, and sneaker customisation into one unique style.
I never planned to be a custom sneaker artist—it just happened naturally. Painting has always been part of my life, and over time, it became more than a hobby. What fascinated me most was the idea that art doesn’t have to stay on a wall—it can move, travel, and live on someone’s feet. I love creating art that’s used, touched, and worn. My work is colourful, joyful, and personal, often inspired by my clients’ favourite themes—heroes, movies, games, or music that shaped their memories. Every pair tells a story. I find inspiration in other artists; seeing their creativity pushes me to improve with each project. My process starts with a clear concept that I refine digitally before painting with brushes and an airbrush. Above all, I want people to feel joy and connection—a story they can wear.
From street graffiti to sneakers, my journey began on the vibrant streets of Gdańsk in the early 2000s, surrounded by murals and painted trains that inspired my love for art. I discovered sneaker customization in 2017 and launched my brand, Doostomz, in 2019. Since then, I’ve collaborated with major Polish brands like CCC, Local Heroes, Sneakers by Distance, SkStore, and Eobuwie, as well as international names such as Verizon, Snipes, and The Federal Savings Bank. On Etsy, I’ve sold over 300 custom pairs, earning a 5-star rating and recognition among the top shops in the “Custom Sneakers” category. I work mainly with paints, brushes, and airbrushes but love experimenting with new techniques like neon lighting, full-dye effects, leather tags, and magnetic logos.
From classroom floors to city walls, my journey has always been about creation. I began remixing old sneakers and streetwear—experimenting, breaking rules, and learning what happens when you stop asking for permission to create. Every design carries the same raw energy that first pushed me to paint outside the lines. My process is instinctive and unapologetic—no blueprints, just intuition and years of trial and error in every layer of paint. Each sneaker is a story in motion, built from premium materials and bold ideas that speak before you do. I’m not here to make shoes; I’m here to reimagine what they can be. My work is bold, layered, and rooted in storytelling. If your ideas move different, you’re in the right place.
My journey began six years ago with a deep passion for creating something truly unique — sneakers that tell a story. I rebuild each pair from scratch, piece by piece, using the highest-quality leather. Every design is fully handcrafted and made for one person only. It’s not about following trends, but about creating timeless art that reflects personality and meaning. What inspires me is transformation — destroying to create something better. That’s why my motto is “Destroy to Create.” Each pair represents that idea: destruction as the first step toward creation.
I’ve been a sneaker head since I was a child, as well as an artist. I perfected portrait realism and animation. I needed to find a way to combine my love of both together, and I love to create unique eye-catching designs and concepts that motivate and inspire others to do the same. I’ve had a huge growth in my platform in just two years and already have worked with some high-status names. Steph Curry actually has a portrait that I sent to him a few years ago, I drew him in his middle school jersey all the way up to the NBA. I wonder if he still has it!
I’m Colin Wirth, the artist behind 616 Customs — I turn sneakers into stories. What started in my college apartment has grown into creating one-of-one designs for artists and influencers like Marshmello, DaBaby, and Nic from Love Island. I mix bold color palettes, hidden details, and music-inspired themes to make every pair feel like it was made for the moment. My goal’s always the same — to make something you’ve never seen before that still feels personal to who’s wearing it.
Creating custom sneakers since I was in high school all the way back in 2008. Been creating one of a kind custom shoes for athletes and companies and creating new designs for all types of projects. Striving to create and build something for the future! Although I’ve been creating custom sneakers for awhile I love to join sneaker competitions to keep me motivated and to also work with likeminded people. Competition is always good to push yourself to be better!

Using exotic leathers and hand-painted designs, I focus on emotion, texture, and concept. I’ve trained with The Shoe Surgeon, Golden Goose in Milan, and co-launched NRS Custom X to craft bespoke sneakers and teach workshops, sharing my passion for storytelling and inspiring future artists.
I’m Nard Got Sole, born and raised in Houston, Texas — a city that shaped my hustle and creativity. I’ve always loved sneakers and art, and years later, those passions became my career. I started by restoring shoes, studying materials, and mastering details most overlook. That led me to custom sneakers — designs I’d dreamed of but never saw from big brands. My work blends hand-painting, airbrushing, and storytelling, from bold statement pieces to clean, factory-fresh looks. For over 11 years, I’ve created for clients, athletes, and brands, treating every pair with pride and precision. What began as a side hustle is now a full-time business rooted in art, culture, and purpose.
I used to feel stuck in a routine—working a job that didn’t fulfill me and wondering if life had more to offer. One night, I told God, “There has to be more to my life than this.” That’s when I found arts and crafts. It began with wanting a phone case that felt like me. Joining the Black Girls Craft community inspired me to turn my creativity into purpose. My first big project—a pair of all-over bling Converse—sparked my passion and became my focus. Today, my brand, UniqueLee Creations, creates rhinestone shoes that tell stories of celebration and confidence. My designs have reached icons like Oprah Winfrey and LisaRaye. Crafting gave me peace, purpose, and a mission: to inspire others to create, shine, and believe in what’s possible.
Growing up in Chicago, sneakers and basketball were everything. I’ve always loved art, and over time, those two passions merged—sneakers became my canvas to tell stories. What inspires me most is how shoes connect people and boost confidence when they wear a pair they love. Each project has meaning, and I enjoy bringing that vision to life through custom designs. I’ve worked with artists, athletes, brands, colleges, and celebrities who share my love for creativity. My process is personal, hands-on, and driven by curiosity (and a bit of fearlessness). I’m still learning, still growing, and still having fun doing what I love—creating one-of-a-kind sneakers that inspire confidence and connection.
Hi I’m Sophia! My creative journey started back in 2020, when I began customizing shoes and bottles as a personal outlet for expression. As a former college basketball player, I’ve always loved sneakers and the stories they tell through color and design. I studied Graphic Design in college but eventually focused on Business. Still, art always found its way back into my life. Today, I’m grateful to work as a live artist at weddings and events, turning moments into keepsakes through illustration. Customizing shoes combines everything I love basketball, creativity, and storytelling and I’m proud to keep growing and sharing my art with others.
DeMarco was born from tradition — a legacy shared between father and son. Our story began in Mexico, where generations of craftsmen shaped leather into symbols of pride and perseverance. The scent of leather and the sound of tools were the rhythm of home. When we moved to the U.S., I was thirteen — carrying our family’s craft and dreams for a new beginning. Life changed, but our passion for design and creation never did. DeMarco became the bridge between heritage and modern artistry. Every piece we make honours our roots while embracing bold, timeless design — a reminder that no matter how far we go, we never forget where we started.

For the last 18 years, I’ve been on a journey to figure out exactly who I want to be and how best to express that. Professionally, I’ve done some of my best work as a Research & Development Chef. In my personal life, my first love is footwear. Along the way, I’ve painted. I’ve reconstructed. I find my greatest joy in combining both to create new work. I think of myself as a story teller. I’ve managed to make a living helping others tell their stories through food. However, I think mine is better told through leather, paint materials and time. I’m inspired most by nature, technology, and pop culture. The relationship between them is exciting for me to explore, I’m hungry to make new designs and silhouettes that resonate with people on an emotional level and I’m not afraid to fail until I make them. I want to make you look fly AND make you feel something. Let’s be seen together.
Sneakers, art, and basketball have been my passions and driving forces for as long as I can remember. Sneakers are my favourite way to express individuality and personality – they let me tell my story and showcase my vision through custom artwork. Each pair becomes a wearable piece of art and a conversation starter. The Curry Flow is the perfect canvas for any artist, and I’m excited to bring my concepts to life and share them with the world!
Being a self taught airbrush artist since 1992 the airbrush has always been my original choice of tool to customize airbrush design anything apparel and has evolved to footwear in 2015 bringing my skill set to footwear canvases such as Airforce 1\’s and Football Cleats. I am inspired by the people I continue to serve. Seeing the reactions and smiles of people from the youth and young at heart is what is my continued driving force to create My work is described as being clean and stands out as my brand which bears my logo in the watermark. The logo for Erica B utilizes the color blue which means \”trust\” It\’s my honor to serve people with customized footwear knowing that they can stand behind a brand they can trust will do and give the best there is to offer from our canvas.
I’m a Mexican-American sneaker customizer born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. My love for art and creating has always been a big part of who I am. Growing up as a minority, there weren’t many opportunities to freely explore creativity, which made finding my path as an artist a challenge. My parents migrated from Mexico to the U.S. chasing a better life, and that work ethic has always inspired me. As a kid, I admired sneakers from afar but couldn’t always afford them. That led me to thrifting—something my mom often did—which helped me discover retro sneakers to restore. Eventually, I started creating my own colorways and painting cartoon-style designs on shoes. Customizing sneakers became my way of expressing myself and turning my energy into something positive. It’s more than art—it’s a reflection of my story, my culture, and the grind it takes to bring ideas to life. What started small has grown into a passion I’m ready to share on a bigger stage.
I’m a multidisciplinary artist from Oakland, California, whose work celebrates current and historical figures who’ve driven social change in politics, entertainment, activism, and sports. My art recognises their lasting impact and inspires new generations. I use mixed media on acid-free watercolour paper, combining ink drawings with layers of acrylics, coloured pencils, oil sticks, and markers. Each portrait hides messages within its textures and forms. A graduate of California College of the Arts (BFA, Illustration, 1997), my public works include murals at the Chase Center, Raimondi Park, and Downtown Oakland. I’m also the lead artist for the Temescal Roots Project and am developing a monument honouring the Black Panther Party.

I’ve been customizing sneakers since about 2011. I decided to pick up some paint brushes, when I discovered that I had a talent that I was fully unaware of. I’ve worked in the retail industry for years, & graduated with a BA in Fashion Merchandising. Which eventually led me to being an entrepreneur & full time sneaker customizer. Known for my unique & bold color theories. I enjoy playing with multiple colors and being able to bring a client’s vision to life without much effort. Heavily known for my clean work, attention to details & again, colors. I create a mock up in mind first, then once the shoe are in hand, I see no limits. My process is unique because there is no one like me in the custom world, as cliche as it may sound. I’ve carved my name amongst the greats in the custom sneaker community, & always out of the mix. If that makes sense! If you’re seeking for clean, unique, & bold, seek no further.

Monica Robledo, also known as Moni Mondro, is a Bay Area-based multimedia artist whose work bridges tattoo culture, lowrider art, and contemporary urban expression. Inspired by classic black-and-grey techniques, vibrant street energy, and nostalgic cartoons, she transforms everyday objects—like shoes—into canvases that tell stories. Each piece reflects her deep connection to culture and the beauty of individuality.
I’m an old artist with a long story. I grew up poor with my brother and my dad—he was tough, old-school, and battled addiction but loved us deeply. One day, while I was sketching a peacock, he stopped, smiled, and walked away. I tossed the drawing, thinking nothing of it. Months later, he came home with a new tattoo—it was my sketch. He’d taken it from the trash. I was too young to understand then, but that was his way of saying he was proud and loved me. I lost him at 15; I’m 46 now. As a hungry 5-year-old sitting alone at 2 a.m., I’d look at the stars and tell myself, “No matter how hard life gets, someone has it worse. We’ll be okay.”
My journey as a sneaker artist began at the age of 15, when I was inspired by the incredible work of a sensational artist, Marko. I was captivated by his sneaker customization videos on YouTube, and having always loved both sneakers and art, I decided to give it a try. From the very first pair, I fell in love with the creative process and I’ve been pursuing it passionately for the past seven years. For my work, I primarily use products from Angelus Brand, as they provide the best results and allow me to fully express my artistic vision. I incorporate both hand-painting and airbrushing techniques, experimenting with a wide range of styles such as realism, pop art, street art, and minimalist designs featuring color gradients and texture work. I enjoy pushing my limits and continuously learning new methods to expand my skill set. With every project, my goal is to create something unique and personal, allowing each client to express their individuality through custom footwear. I’m deeply passionate about what I do, and being able to bring together what others love with my own creative expression is truly special to me.
What’s up y’all! My name is Manny and I’m a creative and native from the Bay Area, CA. Parents came from the Philippines and I grew up in South San Francisco my whole life. When I was a 6-year-old kid, my older cousin showed me a movie called “Beat Street”, and I was heavily influenced by dance, hip hop, and graffiti. From pop locking to drawing graffiti in blackbooks, I’ve been a creative my whole life. I’m 33 now, and being creative is all I know! The things that inspire me til this day are the people that stay consistent on their craft no matter how old they get, and also see creatives put themselves out there fearlessly. There are many talented people out there that keep pushing boundaries to the next level, and that’s always inspiring to see! When it comes to sneakers, especially Curry’s, I most definitely want to snap and see how far I could take it with my flare and creativity. Much love!
Footwear Designer
Hi! My name is Brock Mullen. I am currently a footwear designer with experience designing for some of the largest brands in the world including Zara, Target, Gatorade, Cross Colours, Roots, Pyer Moss, and more. I attended the premier footwear design school, PENSOLE, where I learned design skills as well as the importance of story-telling within footwear. I think what will set me apart for this competition is I understand how to design shoes from scratch as well as how to customize them. Being a footwear designer has been my passion for almost 20 years, when I found out at 14 that it was a career that you could have. I would love the opportunity to be able to create something that tells a unique story for this contest and brings more than customizing the shoes to the table.
Straight outta Redwood — a Bay Area native and custom designer. I’ve been designing shoes professionally for about 4 years, apparel for 10, and teaching Hip Hop for 25. I’ve learned from legends in the custom shoe world and applied their knowledge with my own twist. I love designing full outfits with matching shoes. I specialise in one-offs made with love — I want people to feel that when they wear my gear. I’m skilled in airbrushing, hydrodipping, decon/recon, and full fabrication. I’ve designed shoes for celebrities and NFL/NBA athletes and even created a custom Warriors jacket for Ayesha Curry. I’m inspired by my students and other artists, and this year, I’m coming for the win. It’s going to be an amazing feeling to see my designs collab with Curry Kicks and sold worldwide. I’ve been ready for this my whole life — let’s go!
In 2017 during the boost craze, I wanted to turn my boost black that’s what started my creative journey. From learning how to make painting shoes, durable to learning how to dye shoes I’ve been in the game for almost a decade, and the whole process has been extremely rewarding, exciting and fun. I enjoyed doing airbrushing as well as hand, painting and digital art. When all three of those come together into one final products, I feel like I’m doing something right as an artist I love painting shoes I love making them look as possible. I love creating this would be an huge opportunity for me to create with some of the best creators in the world. I’ve worked on everything from cleats to mini fridges, and this would be an excellent chance to show what I’m capable of.

I’m Christie — a mom, wife, and dental hygienist who rediscovered art after being diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer four years ago. Between surgeries and chemo, I fell into depression until one day I picked up leather paint and customized an old pair of Air Force 1s. I instantly fell in love. Creating brought me joy and purpose again. Now, my art is about light, hope, and healing — for myself and others. I design for those who need uplifting, from cancer warriors to people fighting invisible battles. Customizing shoes truly healed my soul, and I hope my work can help heal others too.
Always having a passion for art, my customization journey began in middle school in Maryland when I would spend countless hours of drawing cartoon characters. Once my friends found out I could draw those characters, those drawings on paper became customized jeans and jackets and were very popular at school and in the neighborhood. I am inspired by how my creativity makes people feel. Nothing else satisfies me more about my work than making someone smile. I am often told to use my creativity and what makes my process unique is that get really know the individual just by listening to them and I ask God to allow the ideas to flow when I am having difficulty. Once I take a step back and allow that to happen, the ideas flow in abundance and the results are amazing.
I’ve always loved collecting sneakers, and now I’m passionate about customizing them. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the finished pieces and the happiness on my clients’ faces. I’ve been in this business for five years, and I’d love the opportunity to customise a pair of your sneakers. I hope I get the chance!
Lucas here, from Orange County California. I’ve been customizing shoes for five years now. I strive to make the cleanest work and the best designs. I compete in sneaker competitions in the community and usually win! I’m really trying to get this going to a point where I can do shoes full time for work. I like to create bold looks that stand out while staying clean and stylish.
I’ve always loved to make fanart of an artist or band I see live in concert and of my favorite athletes I see compete live in front of me. Making art for some of the most talented, hard-working athletes that I have the privilege of seeing play and perform in front of me is inspiring to me as an artist and creative! It also is a way I can show appreciation for their craft and hand-work to put out on the court, field and more. I’ve been blessed to be raised on reading Peanuts and Calvin and Hobbes as a kid, and those cartoon styles have hugely driven into how I developed my cute, cartoony style that I love to draw my favorite artists and athletes in. I love sharing my art in forms of stickers and more – any way to bring joy and smiles to faces!
Whether it’s drawing a portrait with pen/pencil to designing/customizing a truly one of a kind sneaker, I absolutely love it. From the moment I’ve picked up a brush and a shoe I haven’t looked back. I really enjoy bringing a design to life. I get most of my inspiration from album covers, cartoons, comics and cinema.
Hello! My name is Brittany Williams. I have been drawing since I can remember, but have been professionally trained the past year and a half at Atelier Dojo in Austin, Tx. Creating has gotten me through every season of life. I believe that we were designed by the ultimate creator to create, and that comes in many different forms on many different scales. I love drawing and painting from life, murals, canvases, and anything that brings a mental vision into something tangible. My process is unique in that working from life is new and exciting every time. I believe that every creative brings something different to the table that only they can bring. I love sneakers, I love good basketball, and who doesn’t love Steph? This feels like a dream opportunity. Slide me a pair, and let’s show what traditional artists can do!
I’m the owner of Treasures Beads and Jewels, where I bling and customise everything from toothbrushes to full outfits—and now sneakers. I started my business in 2019, just as COVID hit. I had just welcomed my fifth child and was navigating postpartum depression, using art as therapy and self-expression. What inspires me is life itself—people, conversations, even the wind can spark a design. My creations are bold, loud, and unapologetically me—wearable art that empowers and tells a story through every step.
All I’ve ever wanted is to make people smile. It started with silly dances for my mom and grew into making friends laugh or giving thoughtful gifts. Bringing joy has always fulfilled me. When I realised I could do it through art, everything changed. My first project was a denim jacket with my friends’ favourite Marvel logos. Then I painted my first pair of AF1s, inspired by a restaurant — and soon, the owner had a pair too. That’s how Sunny Side Customs was born. Now, I help people express themselves through custom shoes — gifts for loved ones, hometown pride, or kids’ favourite heroes. My work is bright, bold, and made to reflect you. Obnoxiously optimistic. Created with care. Kick it Sunny Side.
I’ve always loved art — I was that kid whose desk was always covered in doodles. I was into sneakers long before the resell era. During COVID, stuck at home, I decided to try custom sneakers and cleats. I bought my first Angelus paint kit, watched YouTube tutorials, and instantly found my calm in creating. In 2022, I designed custom cleats for a UNC WR diagnosed with lung cancer — a cause close to my heart as a 10-year Stage IV survivor. It was powerful to bring his story to life through art. Since then, I’ve used my designs to spread lung cancer awareness for patients, doctors, and advocates. My style depends on my mood — abstract, anime, sports themes, and beyond — but always from the heart.
My name is Ray Boykins — also known as Raycasso. I’m a visual artist, designer, and creative entrepreneur based in Los Angeles. I run a brand called Pure Thought Production, where I merge art, fashion, and community — everything from custom streetwear and murals to school collaborations and public art projects. My creative journey started with painting and designing clothes out of my garage. Over time, that passion grew into something bigger — creating murals for schools, telling stories that reflect culture, positivity, and purpose. What inspires me most is seeing how art connects people. Whether it’s a student walking by a mural I painted, or someone putting on a Pure Thought hoodie — I want my work to remind people to ‘Be You, Not Them.’ Every piece I create comes from a place of truth, reflection, and resilience — representing real experiences, real growth, and pure thought.”
My name is Tanner Monney, an artist based in Utah with a deep passion for creativity—my own and others’. My journey began as a kid colouring Legos and action figures, eventually exploring different mediums that led me to focus on custom designs. I’m currently finishing my Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Design, specialising in concept art at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. I believe every creative work reveals a glimpse into its maker’s mind, whether it’s painting, designing, or cooking. Music is the core of my creative process—it drives my ideas, emotions, and vision from the first sketch to the final piece, inspiring me to turn sound into art.
Born and raised in Lima, OH, I’ve been a working artist in Chicago for 25 years. My art is inspired by street culture, hip hop, sports, and optimism. I’ve painted countless Air Jordan 1s on canvas and created custom works that reflect each client’s story. I’ve even customized sneakers, hockey skates for Stanley Cup champ Adam Burish, and collaborated with the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Sky. My current series, What’s HER Net Worth?™, uses basketball nets as stencils to highlight gender inequality and promote empowerment. It’s grown from paintings to wearable art, including a Bulls collab with 50 one-of-one shirts. I’d love to bring that same message to these shoes—bold, hopeful, and empowering.
I’m Noelle, aka T, born and raised in Atlanta. I’ve loved art since childhood—starting with drawing and later moving to character designs on shoes. Though I planned to attend art school, life led me to banking while still taking painting and 3D art classes. In 2012, I launched my business, and by 2015, I began customizing and blinging Beats by Dre headphones, which gained attention for being unique in the field. Over time, I expanded into 3D and mixed media art, now known as Various Media Art and branded as glamRus. Today, I specialise in custom repaints, bling work, and multi-medium designs on shoes—and even 3D fake food art. I’d be honoured to take part and share my passion as a finalist.
I am a 23.5 year combat wounded veteran. Currently I am a mental health therapist and designed an art based mental health program to treat ADHD and PTSD. We own a 501(c) non profit for adaptive sports and performing arts. I started painting as a research process for my thesis and people started to like my work. Painting is a way to help others find mindfulness through arts. I never painted before until i had surgery to get feeling back into my hands (lost from mortar blast in 2003. I am inspired by the impact others have made through their art. Whether it is Mache doing a new pair of shoes or Joshua Samuel Smith tap dancing his way into our hearts; art is universal and brings us all together and knowing art is just a tool for the mental health program really inspires me! Knowing we need more platforms for mental health and knowing art is a universal language makes my process unique because the art is just the beginning!!!
What started off as a joke watching the first my cause my cleats on nfl network has turned into a full time thing for what’s now 9 years… I work players all over the NFL and MLB and try and give the cleats look to the players while having fun… just trying to be better than I was yesterday whether it be a portrait to a custom that doesn’t look custom.
Born and raised in Atlanta, I grew up sketching anime characters at 8 years old, never imagining it would evolve into a lifelong passion for creativity. I now blur the line between art and imagination, bringing stories to life on any canvas—from sneakers to skateboard decks. I call myself “just an artist,” but my clients remind me I’m a storyteller, capturing emotion, nostalgia, and individuality through my work. Inspired by anime, video games, and pop culture, I thrive on turning ideas into unforgettable art. Every piece begins with my clients’ stories, blending their favourite moments with my vision and technique. For me, art isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, riding BART and soaking in the street art along the way. One day, it hit me—those murals weren’t just for collectors; they were for everyone. That’s what inspired me to start B STREET SHOES. I wanted to create art people could actually wear—something made for the community, not a gallery wall. Every custom pair I paint is meant to be worn out in the world, turning sidewalks into art galleries. If you’ve got a pair of my sneakers, you’re part of the fam—walking the same block, repping the same vibe. B STREET is all about art, storytelling, and community.

Born in NY raised in Cliffwood Beach NJ, I have always had a love for art but starting customizing shoes back in 2008 learning from people like Mache and sole junkie on the internet blog boards back in the day customs have come a long way since then. I’m a 90s hip Hop kid and get my inspiration through various forms I’m a collector of many things sports, movies, cards and of course sneakers I’m a father of two beautiful children and devoted husband, I love the community that custom sneakers have formed over the years and glad to be a part of it.
Wally Champ is a Los Angeles-based visual artist, designer, and storyteller whose work fuses street culture, craftsmanship, and bold colour narratives. Rooted in graffiti, his journey reflects resilience and reinvention. After 12 years in a traditional job, Wally began restoring sneakers at night before quitting to pursue art full time. His creations—spanning murals, sneakers, and brand collaborations—are known for precision, authenticity, and emotional depth. He’s worked with the NFL, NBA, UFC, Bose, Hennessy, D’Ussé, and more. Inspired by his mother’s perseverance, Wally’s art captures the balance of chaos and order, realism and abstraction, all while telling stories of grit, passion, and purpose.
My work reimagines iconic forms through fashion, sneaker design, sculpture, and installations—transforming them into bold, personal statements rooted in Black culture, identity, and innovation. I turn the familiar into the extraordinary: basketballs become canvases, hair becomes sculpture, and everyday materials become symbols of heritage and power. Each piece celebrates the rhythm, resilience, and brilliance of the Black community—challenging limits and redefining expression. My art blurs the line between fashion and storytelling, inviting people to feel, not just see, the work. It’s nostalgic yet futuristic, a celebration of where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going.
Hi, I’m Mikaela, the artist behind Sneaker Queens Customs—where art meets sole. I’m a self-taught sneaker artist from the Midwest who turns shoes into one-of-a-kind wearable art blending fine art, storytelling, and self-expression. I began painting my old sneakers at 19, and six years later, my work has reached brands, celebrities, and collectors worldwide. I paint to capture memories and emotion—every pair tells a story. My process starts with listening, designing, and letting creativity flow naturally. Inspired by nature, colour, and connection, my art reflects growth and healing. Sneaker Queens Customs isn’t just a brand—it’s my purpose, a way to help others express who they are and remind them that creativity can heal and stories deserve to be seen.
My name is Lloyd Ferguson, known as Swaggypicasso. I began my art journey in 2019, but my passion started young—I was always doodling, even getting in trouble for it. I once dreamed of playing D1 basketball, but life led me to art. When I lost my mom at 13, she became my “why,” and now my son inspires me to keep going. I’ve worked multiple jobs and spent sleepless nights chasing my art dream. I tell stories through my custom shoes—my canvas of choice. My nickname “Swaggy” came from owning over 100 pairs of shoes, never repeating one. My art connects with kids, adults, and collectors alike. I’m grateful for the chance to share my story and show the world my talent.
I’m originally from the Dominican Republic and moved to the U.S. at 13. My passion for sneakers began in high school when a friend introduced me to sneaker culture. I started an Instagram page reposting Air Jordan on-feet photos in 2015–2016, then shifted to featuring custom sneakers, which inspired me to create my own. During the 2019–2020 pandemic, my page went viral, and since then, I’ve customized over 5,000 pairs by myself. My designs are simple yet eye-catching, often using unique fabrics or materials. Inspired by fashion trends, I create shoes people connect with. Beyond customizing, I see myself as a content creator who knows how to make designs go viral.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, to parents from the Virgin Islands, my story begins with a passion for art and fashion. As a kid, I’d experiment—like turning Shaq boots into “official” Timberlands using my brother’s old shoes. By high school, I was a sneakerhead obsessed with storytelling through sneakers. Though I studied accounting for practicality, I soon realised art was my true path. I attended the University of Oregon to pursue sneaker design but later dropped out to follow my own vision—creating for people, not corporations. Now a full-time creator, I bring stories to life through custom sneakers while working toward my dream of building a brand that celebrates culture, storytelling, and lasting impact.
I started painting sneakers in 2020 during the Covid, knowing that I wanted to make a living from art. Before that, I had explored different creative fields but hadn’t found the one that truly felt like mine. When I discovered sneaker art, everything clicked and it was the perfect mix of fashion, design, and self-expression. I never gave up on my dream of living from my art, and today every pair I create carries that same passion and determination. My process is personal and intuitive. I love blending artistic techniques with modern style, turning sneakers into wearable pieces of art.
1 of 1 Customizer My kids and My supporters inspire me I never duplicate a pair of customs. I’m VERY creative and unique and I care more about quality then quantity I believe my creativeness is what separates me from other customizers!
Art was something I loved when I was young, but sports were my main focus. I played college football and ran track, dreaming of the NFL—until injuries ended that path and left me lost. I drifted through jobs and even joined the military, searching for purpose. That changed when my daughter was born. Wanting to make her TMNT shoes, I drew Leonardo after 15 years without doing art. My friends saw them and said they looked store-bought—and that moment reignited my passion. Since then, I’ve blended painting, airbrushing, and digital art to express identity and culture. As a biracial veteran, ex-athlete, and father, my work reflects resilience, individuality, and the beauty of breaking boundaries.
iKissCustoms began with what I thought would be a simple restoration — but it was far from it. I ended up completely changing the colours, and when the client picked them up, they loved them so much they kissed them! That moment defined everything: I wanted to feel that again, and iKissCustoms became the name. Each pair I make brings someone’s wildest ideas to life, and their reactions fuel my passion. I mainly create one-of-one designs, often freestyling without a layout. From size 16s to tiny crib shoes, every custom is a fun, creative process — proof that trusting the process always pays off.
Watching my older brother draw sparked my love for art, and I soon began sketching too. During the pandemic, I finally focused on my craft. While sketching Looney Tunes, my sister joked I should try drawing on shoes—so I did. I painted her white Vans with Tweety Bird for her birthday using an Angelus Paint Kit. That first pair lit a fire in me. Soon after, I launched my brand, CaryMadeThose—so clients could say, “Cary made those.” I create wearable art that reflects each person’s story, pulling from their personality and energy to bring their vision to life. As a college student-athlete, I see art not just as something I do, but as who I am.
Hello Steven here also known as SJR customs just a little bit about myself I’m born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana. I now reside in Dallas Texas. Been around art in fashion pretty much all my life. A few things that shaped the person who I am now is growing up in my mom‘s bridal boutique, helping mix colors and dye shoes for bridal parties. Growing up in New Orleans, also feud my creativity and expressiveness. I’ve been customizing shoes for about eight years now. I started my business in 2017 and haven’t stopped since; though there have been up and down. I’ve fell in love with the process of becoming a better customizer. I would truly love an opportunity to showcase my talent and also show you guys what I can do with the Steph Curry silhouette. Again, I would love the opportunity to showcase my talent and make connections with you guys, thanks for your time and consideration.
I’ve been customizing shoes for about 8 years now. It started back in high school when I’d paint old pairs for friends and family just for fun. Over time, it grew into something I really enjoyed and eventually turned into a small business. At one point, I drifted from my original style and started creating what I thought people wanted to see. Now I’m getting back to my roots, making designs that actually mean something to me and reflect the kind of art I’m passionate about. Most of my ideas come from everyday life, things I see, listen to, or experience. I like adding my own twist to each pair and creating something original that people can connect with.
