About CANVVS
Customizer
My name is Austin Torma, but most know me as JAR Customs. I’ve been servin’ up in the game since 2016 and haven’t looked back since. I’ve completed over 1,000 pairs of sneakers, each crafted with passion and precision. Art has been a huge part of my life since childhood, and I always knew I wanted it in my career. After taking my first business class, I learned how to grow both myself and my brand, taking things to a new level. Since then, I’ve worked with countless clients and major names, constantly pushing my creativity. I love inspiring new artists and sharing the value of what I do with the world!
Artist
I’ve been drawing since I was six, and art has always captivated me. If it wasn’t art, it was football. I once dreamed of becoming a footballer but chose to study law instead. Today, I’m a lawyer who customises sneakers out of pure passion. As a child, I dreamed of creating my own clothing line and becoming a designer. I’m still a dreamer who believes the only limit is imagination and that with God’s help, anything is possible. Born in Paris and raised in Luxembourg, Benin, and Lyon, I later moved to Mâcon after earning my law degree. For years, I set art aside, but after a difficult period, I began drawing again. One day, I sketched on a sneaker, not realising it would reignite my creativity and lead to my own custom art business.
I am Javier Carabias, a Spanish artist who has been customising sneakers since 2019. I believe my style is quite unique because I love transforming sneakers into characters. I’m passionate about anime and comic designs, having grown up in the 90s and always admired the style and characters of that era. For me, the most important part of a custom piece is the design, and I always strive to make it the best it can be. I first started painting shoes to repair some of my own sneakers, but once I realised how amazing it felt, I couldn’t stop.
My name is Anya, and I’m a custom shoe artist who’s been creating for almost five years — but I’ve been an artist my entire life. What started as a way to bring happiness to others has grown into a deeper purpose: using art to inspire, teach, and break creative limits. I’m inspired by realism, originality, and my faith. I love creating pieces that tell stories and push boundaries — designs that haven’t been seen before. I strive to show that art can be both beautiful and meaningful, and that with creativity, there are no limits. My process is unique because every design starts with intention. I focus on emotion, detail, and message — I want each pair I create to connect with people on a personal level. I’m passionate about inspiring others, thinking outside the box, and challenging myself to do what seems impossible. Art, for me, is more than a skill, it’s purpose.
You don’t just get the name JIGGA for no reason — where I’m from, they call me the Jay-Z of art, and my work lives up to it. I’m from the Bronx, and you can see it in my style — gritty, retro, and bold. I’m 37 now, married with four kids, and I’ve been in the game for 16 years, so I guess I’m like the “unc” of this art thing now — and I embrace it. Basketball was my first love, so I’m a natural competitor. I love being challenged and pushed to my limits — that’s when I create my best work.
My name is Arthur, but most know me as Art. Born in Cleveland, Mississippi, I’ve always been drawn to creativity—painting, doodling, performing, anything artistic. I began painting shoes in 2003 with whatever I could find—nail polish, Sharpies, highlighters, even glitter pens—and wore each piece proudly. After stepping back to focus on family, I reignited my passion in 2019 by founding Art By Art, a brand built on creativity and authenticity. I now create custom sneakers, wooden art, and canvas pieces that fill homes and galleries. In 2022, I added 3D modeling to my craft. Today, I’m a sneaker artist, toy designer, and author—creating art that sparks emotion and tells stories.
