Participants must be at least 16 years old at the time of entry.
Open to residents of the UK, EU, and USA only. Additional regions may be added at Rakuten or CANVVS’s discretion.
Applicants must work within sneaker customization, art, or closely related fields (e.g., illustration, graphic design, tattooing) where skills are transferable to sneakers.
The Top 100 Shortlists are determined solely by the scores assigned by the Design Committee and must be a registered member of Rakuten Rewards at the time of selection. Participants who are not Rakuten Rewards members will not be eligible to advance to the Top 100, regardless of their Design Committee score. To become a member, participants can register for free at https://www.rakuten.com/partners/canvvs. Membership must be active and verifiable before shortlists are announced.
Entries must be entirely the entrant’s own original artwork. AI may be used for ideation.

Complete the online form and upload your portfolio on the artofthegame.co site before the deadline.
You’ll receive a package with Curry 1 Low sneakers, paints, and tools. Customise your pair, create process content, and return them by the deadline.
No. Only the provided Curry 1 Low Flotro White sneakers may be used. But if you want to customise with different materials or embellishments this is accepted.
Yes. You retain copyright and grant CANVVS, Rakuten, UA, and SC30 rights to use your content for marketing and (for winners) limited sneaker drops for which you will receive a fee.
By entering, you have agreed to and automatically created a CANVVS profile. If approved, your customised sneaker may be listed for sale and you can also add other sneakers and designs to your portfolio.
A $10,000 design fee will be paid the winner and their sneaker design go on to be made a limited edition drop.
You will be notified by email if you are not chosen as a finalist. Everyone of the 100 entrants does get a free CANVVS profile and the ability to sell the sneaker they have created for the competition, along with their sneakers / designs.
You will be notified by email if you are not selected to qualify for entry. Due to the volume of applications, we unfortunately cannot provide individual feedback on applications.
